Getting started

This manual assumes that you have a working knowledge of RISC OS. If this is not the case please refer to the user guide supplied with your computer.

To load Illusionist catalogue the program disc and double click on the !Illusion icon. This loads the Illusionist icon onto the icon bar.

The icon bar menu

You access the icon bar menu by pressing MENU on the mouse with the pointer over the icon. This displays the icon bar menu:

Prog info

Moving over the arrow displays information regarding the program version number and the author.

File info

Moving over this arrow displays information about the current file. The information provides, filename, modified status. size of file and date of the last changes to the file.

Clear all

Click on this option to clear any data from the program. This action causes the program state to be returned to a known set up.

Quit

Click on this option to quit the program. You are prompted if a file exists that has not been saved.

Main window

To open the Illusionist main window click on the icon on the icon bar. This opens a main edit window consisting of four smaller window panes.
